Derby Girls Rule!
So last night for St. Patrick's Day and as one of my birthday presents (Anne it's March 26) David and I went to a roller derby bout! I thought it would be either really cool or really lame. It ended up being a lot of fun!! A while back I expressed an interest in trying it. Well now that I've been to a bout I have to say the interest is back. I want to buy a pair of skates NOW! It seriously looked like so much fun! The team we were rooting for lost big time, but it was still fun and some of the girls really gave it their all!
One of our favorites to watch was Trixie who is the girl on the left with blond hair. Man she was one tough cookie! She got hit hard several times, and she went after a couple girls and gave it back to them. I think we both became an instant fan of hers!
SO now I can't wait till another bout.
Today David and I went to the Honda Center to see the Kings vs Ducks! David got us each a Kings jersey to wear to the game. It's really hard to believe we didn't have one before now. We've been to so many Kings games! I am very happy to say that the Kings won 5-3, and it wasn't even in their turf! That makes it even better. There is nothing better than an obnoxious duck fan letting you know you suck, and then they lose. Hahaha!
Also here's a first....David and I didn't buy anything at the game. I was close to buying a hot dog, but out of hunger not because I craved it. I didn't. He brought a Cliff bar, and I brought a Lunabar, and that's all we had.
