I'm a 30-year-old married gal with no kids (yet!), and a menagerie of pets. I don't need to actually lose pounds, but I would like to lose some fat and replace it with muscle. I've been a little lax lately, and I'm jiggling more than I'd like.
I follow a strict vegetarian--or vegan--diet, but that doesn't mean I eat healthy all the time. My favorite treats are anything that's white and starchy, like potatoes, rice and pasta. I rarely eat fruit, even though I know it's full of antioxidants and nutrients. Because of this, my January goal is to eat a piece of fruit each day.
When it comes to exercise, I stick mostly with running for cardio. I mix in some circuit training and martial arts to keep things interesting. I also lift weights regularly. (Gotta strength train if I want to build muscle!)
The primary purpose of my blog is to provide a "personal" story for the people who visit my other website, RefrigeratorRaid.com. It also serves as a way for me to chronicle my Pursuit of Fitness, as I expect to meet many challenges along the way.
Setting goals and meeting challenges is very motivating for me, so I'm really excited to be a part of this group! I hope that our joint support and encouragement will help all of us meet our goals this year!
