It's July!!!I hope everyone is feeling good with half the year behind us!!! I know I am. I think things are looking up for me. Especially with my mindset. I think I might actually be getting myself to the right place mentally and emotionally on this weight loss thing!
My goals for July are as Follows:
-7500+ steps on weekdays
-At least a 1 mile walk on Saturday and Sunday
-Follow my doctor's 30 minute rule when sitting at a computer or reading.
It think that's fairly easy, AND it follows in with my fitness walking class. We will be walking a minimum 1 mile two days a week. (That's over 2000 steps for me!) I'm going to try getting out every evening for at least a 1 mile, but if it doesn't work out during the week, at least I have my step goal in. That gets me at least 4 half-mile walks just going between work and home! Something is much better than nothing. And I'll fit other stuff in as I can.
I know some people have been asking about what we are doing this month since no one has heard from Michelle in a while. Well, I've just e-mailed her and am waiting for a response. I figure we can just set our goals and keep going until we hear something from her. My prayers are with her and her family just in case something has happened. Although, I REALLY hope that she has just been busy!
Y'all keep up the fantastic work this month and let's get further than we have before (although I know that several people are busy with houses and stuff!).

Cory's GoalsI don't think I've really posted my goals yet. I usually do that on the first of the month, I'm just off my game.
This month I decided that I'm just going to be sure to keep going. My goal is simply to not give up.
I know that might seem a simple, but May was a hard month for me. I'm pushing myself with things that I want to do, but I'm keeping everything open as well.
I know that everyone is going to do well this month, and I'm proud to be in this challenge with each of you!

Weigh InWell, the news today was... THE SAME.
I can live with that considering the fact that it's that time of the month.
Also, I'm out of good fruit!!! That's a problem that I will be fixing this afternoon. I told Josh to stop and pick up a bag of apples if he goes by a fruit stand on his way back from Jackson. (I'm pretty sure he does, but could be wrong.) I'll also be going shopping to pick up some other options.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful day!!!

Welcome All!I'm so glad to see so many of the challengers back for March, and I'm thrilled to see the new names. The year has just flown by with this challenge, even if the weight is only now starting to go!
I'm Cory, and you can find out all kinds of stuff about me at The Dragon's Loss. I started half-assed trying to lose weigh last summer, but have really started hitting it hard this year. I'm doing Weight Watchers to help keep me in control, but what I'm really focusing on right now is Biggest Winners, a program going on at work/school right now. I've lost an amazing 13 pounds in the four weeks of the program so far. I just need to keep it going until the end, and then beyond!
I live in Hattiesburg, Mississipi, USA and work and go to school at The University of Southern Mississippi. It's something that I'm really proud of. I dropped out of college my Sophmore year, but I haven't let that get in the way of my degree. Right now, if everything goes well, I'll get my bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems in 2012. It might take me a while, but I'll have a great work history to go along with that degree. How many college graduates can say that (AND have no student loans!)
My goal towards weight loss really has less to do with the weight than with other things. Like being fit, and living longer, and having clothes to wear since none of mine fit anymore.
For March, my goal is simply to stay on program on the weekends. That's when I have trouble. I just let go then, and eat whatever and don't do anything. I do fantastic during the week, but it's easy to destroy those efforts in two days. I have to learn how to keep in control during the obstacles that weekends always bring along.
I also want to say a huge hello to my March Cheerleader, Janice. I've haven't gotten to read much of her blog ThinkSlim but she has some fantastic posts over there.

Upcoming: MARCH!Well, as everyone knows February is coming to a close and it's time to pick our March challenges. I've already done a post on my own blog a few days ago, but I thought I would post here.
I'm proud to say that I was easily on track for my February challenge. I'm proud to have completed it easily. Sometimes I didn't want to do the exercise very much, but it was easy to convince myself.
I'm also doing well on our 40 day challenge. No carbonation for me! And I'm definitely getting in my water, and mochas have been my only source of caffine. I'm slowly cutting back on those, although I probably won't cut them out completely. I have to have some sort of treat, right!
So, going into March, I have decided that it is time to focus on something other than activity. I will still be keeping my previous challenges, but now I'm going to concentrate on my eating. It's really easy for me to stay in great control over food during the week, but not so much on weekends. This month I am going to stay in control over what I eat Friday night through Sunday night. This doesn't mean I won't eat things I want, but I will keep them within plan. I won't go over my weekly allowance and activity points anymore. This may not be easy, but it WILL be done!
Everyone, good luck in your selected challenges in March, and I can't wait to see what everyone is doing!

An End, And A BeginningFor all of here at the Challenge it is time to, in a way, end one thing and begin another. We have begun some good habits in January, and it is the end of that challenge. It's time to begin anew, but hopefully without leaving our lessons and accomplishments behind us.
No matter what your challenge was in January, you all worked so hard to make it through. We all had trouble making our goals, but we are still here. I think the most important lesson we all have learned is that we can't give up, even if we don't feel motivated at the moment to keep going. February will bring along new challenges, and for some the contiunation of their last challenge. This month may be harder for some of us, or easier for others. But we will all make it through.
For all our new Challengers in February, welcome to our little community. We're all here for the same reason, and with each others help, we will all succeed this year!!! Come and make 2007 YOUR YEAR!

Hi! I'm Me!!!My name is Cory and I am fat.
That has been the story of my life since the summer between third and fourth grades. I was skinny before that. I'm 25 now, and actually care. I never did in high school, and not really in college.
Anyway, I got married this year and want to be healthy for when we eventually have children. And it will be nice to be skinny. I have attempted to lose weight in the past, but never successfully. I can say that the lowest I have ever gotten in 156. And I could honestly be comfortable there. I was a 10/12. However, I couldn't maintain it.
I have joined Weight Watchers again. Hopefully with their help and yours I will be able to get it done. This month I have set my goal on exercising. At least three times a week, each at least 30 minutes at once. I don't know yet what I will set for next month. Although, I can honestly say that it will not be a specific weight loss. I never do well with those. And regardless of the amount of weight, it's how healthy I am that really matters!
Good luck to everyone this year, and it is wonderful to be tackling a major project with you.
EDIT: Okay, now I'm going to fix the fact that I'm stupid and forgot to put in my blog address! It's just one of those days. Dragon's Loss
